Syslog in 5500 RSM-What's this line?

In doing my proactive review of the logging buffer on one of my RSMs on a CAT 5500, I found this line:

Monitor logging: level debugging, 4163 messages logged

Logging to: vty3(3)

Where does the "Logging to: vty3(3)" come from? I'm the only one in the RSM, and am in using vty0. None of my peers knows of anything put in the configuration recently that would cause this. Disabling Monitor Logging makes it go away, but the line comes back when turning Monitor Logging back on.

The logging statements in the config read as follows:

logging trap debugging

logging source-interface VlanX

logging a.b.c.d

I'm familiar with these lines, and they are correct. Any help pointing me in the right direction for research would be helpful.

Thanks

Jim

You have an active telnet session on vty3 which has also configured terminal monitor to receive logg messages.

Use the show users command to see who is logged on vty3. It's probably an old/hung telnet session if you have configured exec-timeout 0 on the vty lines.

To avoid such thing configure a smaller exec-timeout on the vty lines and also "service tcp-keepalives-in" and "service tcp-keepalives-out" in global config mode.

Cheers
