Syslog Messaging and Logging

Please help.

I have set up the switches for syslog messaging to a syslog server on Win2000. It has been set up on each machine thus.

set logging server enable.

set logging server 123.45.67.8

set logging all level 6 default.

expecting to see al messages in the syslog server under

RME>Syslog Analysis>Standar Report/Severity Report ... and it keeps saying there is nothing logged even though we have had so many severtiy 3-5 messages.

Please what else do I need to do.

This is rather urgent.

Try to add

set logging server severity 6

to your config.

check this file out first. It should under cscopx\log\syslog.log. open it in notepad and see whether you get raw message here. If you do, then there could be numbers of things. here is an great url
