I want to view the events log of router 3640. As there is not enough memory in the router to store history of all the events, how can I store events logging to remote server. What sort of software do I need for server (Windows NT). Is it Cisco View CD One and Cisco Works 2000 for Windows NT. Is there any evaluation pack, which I can download for trial.
I see now that you were actually looking for a syslog server, but all syslog messages can be sent as traps. Or you could use the syslog service/analyzer included with CW2000 RME. Your Cisco reseller can get you a 90 days evaluation on CD.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
