syslog settings

I am setting up syslog to report to my Linux server. When I enter the command "logging trap <0-7>" will it only accept the last entry I use. Another words I have entered the following

logging trap 6

logging trap 4

so will only logging trap 4 be in effect ?

also, how come I don't see the commands in my conf file

thanks in advance

jg

Re: syslog settings

The last entered command will over-right the previous one. So only last command will take effect.

Now once you enter the trap number from 0-7, router will name it in the config. So in config (sh run) for "logging trap 4" you will see

logging trap warnings

In config mode, You can type "loggin trap ?" to see the number-to-name resolution for a trap.
