syslog

i am trying to turn logging on to an older 3500 switch running 12.0 ios. i found the following best practices for the 4000 series, does anyone have best practices for logging on a 3500, i am trying to avoid wasting unecessary resources while its in production.

logging buffer 500

logging server syslog sever IP

logging server enable

logging timestamp enable

logging level spantree 6 default

logging level sys 6 default

logging server severity 4

logging console disable

Re: syslog

Most of these commands are not available on XLs running 12.0 code. Default logging should be sufficient. Just make sure you have a server which is set for syslogging and point the switch to the server.
