Ok we have just bought Kiwi Cat tools - for those of you who do not know this product (http://www.kiwisyslog.com/cattools2.htm) it is good config collector. Now here's the problem - you can program it to whiz round all your Cisco switches and routers at a scheduled time and collect all your configs. To achieve this you need to tell Cat Tools the telnet user id and password for it to be able to gain access and run the tftp download. Now you can see where I'm going with this - if you use TACACS and an RSA securid key fob number - how can you get round the problem of the password credentials constantly changing?
the only way I can see this working is with configuring the VTY lines with a local username and password, is that an option for you or do you HAVE to use TACACS and RSA ?
