Anybody seen this before , we have some older routers running most 11.X code and whenever we intially log via tacacs in the username field there is an extranious letter "t" in their for some reason . We have also seen where it won't take the correct username and password the first time but will work fine the second time . Any ideas ????

Glen,

I have observed the same thing happening with 3524 switches running an early version of 12.0. This is an ordinary IOS bug.

An upgrade will do the job or..

in cisco terminology: Workaround: press backspace before you enter your credentials.
