I am having difficulty telneting and using PcAnywhere to a remote site on a simple point to point frame-relay. I am able to telnet through the home router to the remote router, but it will not connect from a pc in the home office. Going the other way, remote office to home office, works fine. I can telnet to other locations fine. Any help would be appreciated.
Have you implemented NAT correctly ? Check your NAT at both ends and see if you havent blocked specific ports etc. If you can post the config of both routers here it would be easier for us to be able to help.
No, There are no access lists set up and no NAT'ing. I can telnet to other routers connected to my home one, but just not this one. Could this be an issue with eigrp protocol? Also, it is not going through a firewall.
Are you trying to connect to the serial side or lan side of the remote router? Try pinging both side of the remote from your pc. If you can ping the lan side but not the serial side you are probably not advertising the serial interface's IP network.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
