Telnetting using another address

Hi,

I know that using an extended ping, one can specify the source address the router should use for the ping. What I want to know is, if it is possible to telnet to another router and specify the source address that the router should use for the connection.

Re: Telnetting using another address

Yes, you can use:

ip telnet source

Source address would now be the address of interface specified.

Thanks.

Re: Telnetting using another address

Or,

use Router#telnet /source-interface

will do the job.

Re: Telnetting using another address

Thanks for the info, quite usefull. But imagine the following scenario where the interface has secondary address. And you want the telnet to source with the secondary address, is that possible.
