temperature air inlet / outlet

Hello, in order to ensure a device is not overheating, is it better to monitor the switches 'air inlet' or 'air outlet' temperature ?

Or does it not matter i.e. either one is fine.

Thanks kindly.

I would think monitoring

I would think monitoring whatever the system reports for its system temperature is what you want to do.  More likely that somewhere measures internal device temperature.

Hi,

Hi,

Each device has multiple hardware sensors, and so they can be monitored by whatever software you will use to manage your devices. If the system gets too hot, it will alert you.
