Terminal Server Configuration for POS Devices

We have a CISCO 2610 fitted with a 16 port Analogue modem module. We want to use it in place of a Gandalf box to connect remote Point of sale devices (POS) to a UNIX host through dialup links. Each device needs to connect to the host through a dedicated port on the UNIX host.

How can the 2610 terminal server be setup to achieve this ?

Re: Terminal Server Configuration for POS Devices

You need to configure the "Autocommand Telnet " under the line config so that when the DSR goes high on that modem (once the connection is made) the autocommand statement will be executed...Will terminate the incoming connection to the unix host..

You will see some config help at
