Terminal Services Bandwidth

Can someone tell me what the bandwidth requirements are for a terminal services session. I will be using this the determine what size WAN connection I will need between remote offices.

We will be connecting between 25 and 50 users to terminal servers and want to size our connection for current and anticipated usage.

Thanks.

Re: Terminal Services Bandwidth

Terminal Services is a little vague (this week)

Microsoft has a "Terminal Services" that sends screen, keyboard, and mouse between your PC and the server. This is similar to x-windows, which requires 56k or higher to work adequately.

The other "Terminal Services" is the reverse telnet services that are used in many practice racks, etc.

Each user really consumes very little bandwidth. A generous estimate would be 4800 BPS average per connection.

Doug
