Text vs binary config mode

What is the functional differences between text and binary config modes on a 6509, and which is preferable?

Re: Text vs binary config mode

Function wise, there is no difference. The only time you would want to go to text mode is if your config is too large. Remember with text mode, you'll need to issue a "write mem" to save the config each time you make a change
