tftpdnld in rommon mode

I'm trying to use tftpdnld to download an image to a 2600 which is in rommon mode. Not matter which IP address I configure on the router I get the same error mesage...Illegal or missing Ip address. ANyone seen a similar problem?

Use the "sync" command to save ROMMON environment variables to nonvolatile RAM (NVRAM) and try it after..

I've just realised the commands must be typed in Upper case....problem solved
