I've specified the speed of one line to 9600 using the command "speed 9600".
But when I show running-config,I find the speed is changing anormaly.
anyone can tell me the possible reason?
thanks

I am not sure what you mean when you say "the speed is changing anormaly". Please re-post to this forum with the output of the show run that is related to this problem.

I have only issued the command "speed 9600".
This is the result of "show run"
the first time
"line 35
autoselect during-login
autoselect ppp
modem Dialin
modem autoconfigure discovery
transport input all
stopbits 1
speed 57600/£¿
flowcontrol hardware"
the 2nd time
"line 35
autoselect during-login
autoselect ppp
modem Dialin
modem autoconfigure discovery
transport input all
stopbits 1
speed 115200/?
flowcontrol hardware"
I have used an exterior MODEM.Something wrong with it?

The "modem autoconfigure discovery" command causes the router to try to discover the modem by using AT commands, and it will cycle through all supported port speeds until it gets a response.
If you see this happening continuously, and you have a modem hooked up to this port, you need to check your connections and/or dip switch settings on the modem, because the router can't find it.
