there are two router on a segment,can each router use helper address ?

there are two router on one segment, can each router use helper address for same DHCP or other DHCP server ?

what happen, above situation.

i wonder something such as loop or any other problem on this case.

This is something you really don't want to do. The IP helper command takes a broadcast DHCP packet and sends it to a DHCP server, having two routers on the same network perform this function will lead to problems......the least of which will be 2 packets sent and 2 responses to each DHCP request

i don't care of performance,just i worry about working.

i should have redudanct DHCP relay on my network.

could you verify it again.

Yes, it should work... The DHCP server would of already leased the address and have a record of the MAC requesting it, so the worst is double traffic.

Lots of people do this. The DHCP server will just reply to the first request it gets. As for the performance concerns expressed by others, if doubling your DHCP requests causes problems, you have some bigger issues that you should be addressing first....
