Throughput testing SW

Anyone know of a good PC based software that can test throughput speeds between 2 end stations. I've got users complaining about poor DS3 performance and need to be able to test the link.

thx

Re: Throughput testing SW

maybe you may want to use sniffer to characterize the network traffic . . . just a suggestion.

Re: Throughput testing SW

Try using one of the GUI FTP clients and transfer a big file. They will give you a ballpark in KBS transferred.

Re: Throughput testing SW

I've always used this utility and it is free. Learned about it from my instructor when I went to a fluke training class. What's nice about it is it has a lot of endpoints you can choose from for whatever host you have to test.
