%TIGER-3-BADADDR_MBE: Invalid MBE dram address

Hi

I got this message on a 7507 with RSP8.

The error message decoder gave me this response:

The address latched by the Tiger when detecting an MBE is not a valid DRAM address. The Tiger should not report this kind of error under its normal operating conditions. This error probably indicates that a malfunctioning Tiger need s to be replaced.

My question is: is the tiger related with the dual arbiter? If not, what's the tiger and how can I replace it?

Thanks

Marco

Marco,

Tiger asic is related to the arbiter. This might very well be CSCdt00655 or CSCdp89635 you are running into. Do you have VIP2-50's in your router? Please check out this defect to see if you are running effected code. If you have the fix in your code I'd suspect the RSP that is producing these messages.

Hope this helps you,

Don
