Time & Bandwidth Formula

Hello Gents,

If I plan to transfer 300MB of data across following link:

1) a 64K terrestrial leased line

2) a 38K terrestrial leased line

Isn't there a formula for doing this?? I believe i had come across such a one in the past. Can anyone of you share it with me ..
