I have a switch with 100Megabit port, but I need a conection between two switchs directly connected at 400Megabits. Could I use these two switches connected through two ports, I mean, data flow should pass between these two switchs through these two ports at the same time. How can i have this without the STP action?
Can you configure EtherChannel between 2 2924XL's by just assinging the port speed , duplex, channel group, and channel mode? Or do I need to connect a 2924XL to a 4006 for it to work??? Any help would be appreciated.
Catalyst 2900XL/3500XL series switches support FEC with up to eight ports in a source-based forwarding port group. These switches also support an unlimited number of ports in a destination-based port group.
In a Gigastack configuration, it is not possible to use ports on different switches to form one etherchannel. The ports must be on the same switch to form the etherchannel.
Catalyst 2900XL/3500XL software release 11.2(8)SA or later is requried
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
