Total Bandwidth on Etherchannel of a Switch ???

Hi anyone please help to clarify that if I have a switch with four fastethernet ports configured as an etherchannel, so what is the total bandwidth of that etherchannel ?

If any one of the four ports fails, does the etherchannel still function ?

What 's the difference between "Port Trunking" and Etherchannel ?

wHEN ONE PORT FAILS, A TRAP IS SENT TO THE SWITCH, AND SWITCH DETECTS THE FAILURE AND SWITCHES TRAFFIC TO THE REMAINING AVAILABLE PORTS.

IF YOU HAVE 4 FA0/0 PORTS, IN ETHERCHANNEL, BANDWIDTH FOR TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION , EACH WOULD BE AT A RATE OF 4*100 MBPS = 400 MBPS. iF THE DUPLEX SETTING IS SET TO FULL, YOU ACHIEVE 4*100*2 = 800 MBPS BECAUSE, TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION CAN TAKE PLACE AT THE SAME TIME IN FULL DUPLEX SETTING

Trunking is the process of carrying traffic from different vlans from one switch to another switch.

Ether channel just bundles up links to increase bandwidth between switches.
