Transparent proxying with WCCP

hi,

In my network all HTTP requests have to pass through the ISP's proxy for accessing websites.Can a cache engine with WCCP help me bypass the proxy settings in the web borwsers for accessing web sites.

hi

If i m not wrong the default gateway would be your ISP rite in this case if ur ISP is forwarding all the traffic to their proxy in their network in which you dont have any control i dont think you will be able to bypass ISPs proxy.

But still you can have the cached webpages locally which can serve the frequently accessed pages to you from the local cache instead of getting it from the isp proxy...
