I got Traps from a Cat6509:

Switch CAT1-TORO1 EVENT SNMP Trap/Unsolicited at 13:26:18

Address: 10.10.15.11

Info 1: ORANO

Info 2: Location: Toronto (Front)

Date: 10/08/2003

Status: Active and responding ( 0)

Svcs:

Notes:

I can't find any clue from Cisco web, any comments are appreciated.

Hi Jack,

I think it means that your spanning tree has a new root and that a new root has been selected. You might want to check this in on your switch.
