Tried Upgrading an MSFC to MSFC2

I have a Supervisor (WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE) with a MSFC, when remove the MSFC from the supervisor and replaced it with a MSFC2, module 15 was not recognized, will this upgrade work? Tried two different MSFC2's and still no luck. Any help on this topic will be most appreciated.

First the obvious, ensure all screws are returned and tight. Make sure all the requirements listed in the installation note are met. If these are verified and the card isn't recognized in 'sh mod' then try a 'switch console'. This will transfer console from the supervisor over to the msfc. Check to see if the msfc isn't in rommon. If it is then you'll need to boot it manually. I've included a link to boot loader recover procedure too.

Thanks for the helpful tips and links. I forgot to mention I did in fact tried the switch console command to try and switch from sup to msfc, still no luck. All though I only used two of the screws to mount the msfc2 to the sup (for a quicky), so let me try will all screws. Thanks again.
