Trouble with WIC-1ENET in 1720

I have a 1720 router with IOS 12.2(23) and the WIC-1ENET in Slot 0. On boot I receive this message, "00:00:05: %PQUICC-1-UNKNOWN_WIC: PQUICC(0), WIC card has an unknown ID of 0x39"

I cannot find anything (from Cisco or otherwise) on this exact error.

I have verified that the processor is greater than the minimum required for this card; and that the IOS is as well.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Trouble with WIC-1ENET in 1720

It may be that you need a T version after 12.2(4)T in order for the card to be supported I"m not sure if 12.2(4)T goes into 12.2(23).

The card should be supported in any 12.3 code though because the T releases go into the next mainline.

This may be your problem check out this link.
