Trunk with 802.1q and ISL

I know that I cannot have 802.1q and ISL on the same trunk link, but say I have three switches cascaded with trunk links with ISL trunk to one switch and 802.1q other switch, will all vlan, vtp trunk info be functional.

Re: Trunk with 802.1q and ISL

Yes, it should work with no problem.

The only problem could be with VLAN numbers higher then 1000 (some CatOS and IOS versions don't support VLAN numbers higher then 1024 on 802.1q).

Milan
