Trunking with a 2900C XL 4MB

I have a 4MB 2900XL. According to Cisco, this type of hardware do not support trunking (not even ISL). I'm wondering if there is any special config or bypass I can do, to place this Switch is a dot1q environement.

Thanx in advance.

According to CCO, the physical chipset of 4MB 2900XL can't support VLAN trunking, there is no way to do it.

Hope this helps.

the original 2900-XL 4MB does not support dot1q/ISL.

excerpt from cco documentation:

"The original Catalyst 2900 XL with 4 MB DRAM and WS-X2914-XL and WS-X2922-XL modules do not support any QoS features. " (no packet field for dot1q/dot1p)

you should be able to create an etherchannel on this device but supporting dot1q/isl on a port is not available.
