I am having an issue trunking on gig copper ports on a 4507. The trunks come up and run for several days and then stop. If the 3550s at the other end are rebooted they start trunking again. The other 4500s attached via fiber are fine. Anyone have any suggestions?

Are you takeing errors on the interface? If so, does either port go into an err-disable state? Hope this helps.

^ agree... check "err-disabled" state ..

Port does not error disable. I just stops passing traffic. I did a clear interface on the port and I see outbound traffic from the 4507 but nothing coming back. I have replaced the switches in question thinking they may be having problems. Problem re-occured within a few days.

What is the distance on the copper and what category is the wire?

also, did you check to make sure that both ends are set to 1000 full?

Both sides are set to 1000/full. The run is actually fiber with Gigabit media converters on both ends. I have replaced the media converters and it has no helped.

Do you have UDLD aggressive configured on these links?
If not, I'd suggest you too.
