Trunking

I don't know if this is possible or not. I have 2 (1&2) switches that I want to span VLANS across and they are at 2 different locations. The problem is, I don't have fiber connectivity to link them. But I have 2 (B&A) other switches that are in the same locations and would like to use their trunk connection to pass their trunking info between locations. I want there VLAN information to be seperate. Can you use VTP and use group names?

You may want to take a look at 802.1Q tunneling. That will allow you to keep your switch 1&2 vlan traffic isolated from the local vlan traffic on the A&B switch.

The main issue will be that all switches support this configuration.
