Hi

can someone please advise on the following:

1. how many Gigabit etherchannel groups are supported by the Catalyst 6500 and the Catalyst 4500 (LACP channels preferably)

2. Can i create Etherchannel using ports spanning multiple Catalyst 6x00 modules ?

1. With software release 6.3(1) and later releases, due to the port ID handling by the spanning tree feature, the maximum number of EtherChannels is 126 for a 6- or 9-slot chassis and 63 for a 13-slot chassis.

2. Yes you can.. upto 8 ports.
