Trunking

I did the command below

clear trunk 8/15 2-210,212-1005 on a cat6k as I wanted only vlan 211 to be on the trunk.

When I do a show trunk, all I see is

Port Vlans allowed on trunk

-------- ------------------------

8/15 1,1025-4094

I do not see the vlan 211 any longer, What have I done wrong. Please help.

Thanks

Re: Trunking

Do you have a similar command in your config as the one noted below:

set trunk 8/15 nonegotiate isl 1,211,1025-4094

--Sundar

Re: Trunking

Hi Friend,

When you first configure a port as a trunk, entering the set trunk command always adds all VLANs to the allowed VLAN list for the trunk, even if you specify a VLAN range (any specified VLAN range is ignored). To modify the allowed VLANs list, use a combination of the clear trunk and set trunk commands to specify the allowed VLANs.

So now when you have used clear trunk command also use set trunk command to add specific vlan.

set trunk 8/15 211

HTH, if yes please rate the post.
