Re: Trying to squeeze flash on a 3620

You need to "erase" the flash once before the "squeeze" command will work correctly.

Re: Trying to squeeze flash on a 3620

As suggested, squeeze command works only on deleted files (files on your flash marked as [deleted]). You still have the 12.2T IOS file not deleted. Also the file with .old is not deleted. Unless you delete these two files, you wont be able to squeeze the flash as a whole.

But what you can do is squeeze each deleted files, individually.

squeeze flash:, will remove the file from the system, if its already deleted.

Hope that helps.

Re: Trying to squeeze flash on a 3620

Hi,

On the 3600 series, the entire flash file system needs to be erased once and only once before the squeeze command can be used. Use the following:

no partition flash:

then

erase flash:

To my knowledge (and experience), you have to squeeze the (freshly formatted/erased) flash once, to put a squeezelog on it.

After that you can squeeze away ;-)

Re: Trying to squeeze flash on a 3620

I want to keep the 12.2(2)T image on the flash. However ever I need to make room for new image that I'm upgrading too. How can I accomplish this without eraseing the whole flash.

Re: Trying to squeeze flash on a 3620

copy the image you want to keep to your tftp server.

Erase the flash.

squeeze the flash.

copy the image back to the router from your tftp server.
