Turning on APPN in VTAM V4R4

I have 2 mainframes with separate NETID's. Each mainframe has its own CIP. I currently send MSNF data from mainframe to mainframe using a FEP on each mainframe. I would like to get my MSNF traffic to use my CIP interfaces. I was told that I could turn on APPN on VTAM if I am running version V4R4. Once APPN is on, I can configure the CIP's as APPN nodes.

My question is:

When I turn on APPN on VTAM, will it cause any problems with the currently running SNI connections, RJE connections, or any other NCP connections.
