Hallo,

in the moment we are using 11.2 on an C1603 with an WIC-1B-S/T-LL .

We have an D64S connected to this WIC.

The question is:

Can we connect with, IOS 11.3.3T or higher, a D64S02 (Two B-Channels)

to the WIC-1B-S/T-LL with the following configuration:

isdn leased-line BRI1

int bri 1:1

ip address 10.1.1.1 255.0.0.0

int bri 1:2

ip address 20.1.1.1 255.0.0.0

Hi,

I suggest to use dialer-pools.

Hi,

what do you meen with using dialer-pools??????????

The question is:

Does the LL-WIC in an C1603 with 11.3(3)T or higher support

two separat B-channels and can i use at the same time the

integratet BRI as an dialer interface!!!!!!!!!!1

Hi,

You can use the two seperate B-channels for two different calls. Below, a small example. You can bring both channels up at the same time.

int bri 0

encapsulation ppp

ppp authentication chap

dialer pool-member 1

dialer pool-member 2

no ip address

...

int dialer 1

ip address 10.1.1.1 255.0.0.0

encapsulation ppp

dialer remote-name XXXX

dialer string XXXX

ppp authentication chap

int dialer 2

ip address 20.1.1.1 255.0.0.0

encapsulation ppp

dialer remote-name XXXX

dialer string XXXX

ppp authentication chap

Hallo,

i think there are some missunderstandings because i am

talking about leased lines (not dialer) with the WIC-LL modul.

The WIC-LL Modul is then BRI 1 and cann only handle leased-lines.

The question again is:

When i get an D64S2 or D64S02 (Two separat leased-line to the same

location) from our provider "TELEKOM" does i can configure this both

B-Channels separat like:

isdn leased-line bri1

int bri 1:1

ip add.......

int bri 1:2

ip add....

I know that you can configure "isdn leased-line bri1 128" with 11.3(3)T

or higher but this is only working in Japan.

First, you can use the integrated BRI as a dialer - what you do with the WIC does not effect the integrated BRI.

The WIC can be used for 64k or 128K service (I actually believe that DS02 is for 144K leased lines on a BRI (D+B+B)). However, this is for a single pipe/leased line only, the HW is not capable of considering both channels as separate leased lines. So you request would not work, you would instead require a separate WIC for each leased line.

Thanks for your answer.

My last question, can i use the internal BRI for leased line (two separat B-channels)?

And can i use then an separat WIC as an dialer interface?

I ask this because i saw a configuration like this except an separat WIC

as dialer interface.

Sorry forgot to add the following commands:

int d1

dialer pool 1

dialer-group 1

int d2

dialer pool 2

dialer-group 1

dialer-list 1 prot ip permit.

Please take a look at the cisco web-site for detailed info.
