tx-ring on access router serial interfaces

The operation of tx-ring on ATM interfaces and for 7x00 serial WAN PAs is well documented. Are there tx-rings or other final interface FIFO buffers applied for serial WAN interfaces on other access routers such as 1700s and 2600s.

Re: tx-ring on access router serial interfaces

Yes, these routers too have tx-rings with FIFO buffers which functions as the hardware queue. I believe that the size of this queue is generally based on the bandwidth of the interface and can be fine tuned in recent IOS releases.
