udp port 2066 traffic from 678 DSL router

I have a 678 DSL modem/router, and on occasion, usually when the DSL phone line is disconnected, I get a lot of network traffic from the 678 on the local ethernet. The traffic is on udp port 2066, and I have no idea what it is. Does anyone know what the 678 is trying to accomplish with this network traffic??

Looking at the IANA assigned port numbers, http://www.iana.org/assignments/port-numbers, port 2066 is unassigned.

Is this traffic originating from the IP address of the ethernet LAN interface or is it different.

Is the traffic broadcast on the LAN segment?

Re: udp port 2066 traffic from 678 DSL router

Ah, it seems to just be traffic intended for the Cisco Commander software for Windows that comes with the modem/router. I was able to capture a few packets and see the phrase "WAN 0 physical layer is down" which the 678 was just sending out to any Cisco Commander software on the LAN. The traffic is send out the LAN interface to 255.255.255.255. Now I understand what is going on.
