JYP,

Rather than trying "no clock rate" and making it null/0 have you tried "clock rate " instead. I don't think that "no" would be supported because you'd be trying to remove timing all together rather than change it. I would think it's supported, just ensure it's the DCE interface..

Hope this helps,

thanks for you reply, but i want to remove clockrate because

clockrate is provided my Modem so i need to remove from router

side (i did on other serial interface without this issue)

JYP

JYP,

If the interface is a DCE then you'll not be able to remove this. This could be as simple as changing to a DTE cable that connects your interface. I believe a "show controllers serial " will show you if this interface is a DCE. A DTE interface will pull it's timing from the line (RX side data) so this interface type is needed if you plan to have no clock rate.

Hope this helps,

should i enter no DCE to remove DCE configuration

on interface ?

If there is a DCE configuration on the interface then yes. Sometimes the cable type that is connected to the interface will determine if this is DCE or DTE. (check the cable a lot of times it says it right on there).

Hope this helps you,

Don
