unbreakable policy on 2950T-24 ?

Hello everybody,

I use a service policy to limit the input of a port to 1Mbit/s on my Cisco 2950T-24. I changed this policy to 2Mbit/s, the modification is accepted, but the network traffic remains always flat at 1024kbit/s. Then I tried to cancel this service policy, with "no service policy", but it doesn't change anything.

Here is my running-config :

interface FastEthernet0/17

bandwidth 2000

no ip address

(bandwith is only descriptive, if I remember well ?)

Any idea ?

Thanks !

Hello,

when you issue the show policy map interface fastethernet0/17 command do you still see the service policy applied ? You might want to try and shut/no shut the interface. This could also be a bug, which IOS version are you using ?

Regards,

Georg

Thank you for your help.

My version :

IOS (tm) C2950 Software (C2950-I6Q4L2-M), Version 12.1(13)EA1c, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

the command "show policy map interface ..." doesn't seem to exist on my switch.

I tried to restart this interface, let's see if it's better. But it's strange since I never need to restart an interface to set a policy-map on an interface, so why would I have to restart it to remove the policy ?

No it's not better after restarting the interface...
