Unknown Card in slot 1 with WIC-4ESW

I recently upgraded the IOS to 12.3.6 on my 1751 router in order to add the IOS feature set for our new VPN module. We've also got a 4 port ethernet switch in WIC/VIC Slot1, which was working fine before I updated the IOS. On boot i see this error message: "Unknown Card in slot 1" What might cause this?

I've tried moving the WIC to Slot 0 and it had no effect.

Do I need to download a different IOS feature set to support both the VPN and this WIC? I downloaded the "IP/ADSL/IPX/AT/IBM/FW/IDS PLUS IPSEC 3DES" feature set.

I tried checking there before, but all i get is this error message:

"This product is not yet supported by Software Advisor"

Is there anyother way I can check?

You can use the IOS that you have downloaded (IP/ADSL/IPX/AT/IBM/FW/IDS PLUS IPSEC 3DES)

or you can use this one, "Cisco 1700 IOS IP/ADSL/FW/IDS PLUS IPSEC 3DES".

I'm not sure if there's a documentation but I was able to verify it with Cisco's Configuration Tool.

just wanted to let you know that i did finally get it working, but i had to roll back to 12.3-2.XC2.
