Hi There,
Here is the tool for Cat Os to IOS conversion. You need a CCO ID to access this tool.
http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/CatCfgConversion/catcfg_xlat.pl
I have checked all the modules and they all are supported with Sup-720, So you are good to go with that part.
Fan tray is also supported on the IOS version that you will have on your Sup.
If you have any spare chassis, then put your Sup720 in that and configure it first.Makre sure that your sup is fully configured before putting it on the running chassis.Once its configured then you bring down the current running chassis and put the sup module in it and restart it.
On 6509 the Sup 720 goes into 5 or 6 slots so make sure that you use these slots for Sup 720. It will not work in any other slot.
If you dont have a spare chassis then have your configs handy and put it on the sup once it comes onkine in the chassis. Once its configured then you bring down the current running chassis and put the sup module in it and restart it.
Rest is OK.
HTH, Please rate if it does.
