upgrade to GSR

I have a GSR running 12.0(21)S2 IOS, with following LC:

GE-GBIC-SC-B=, 40C3/ATM-MM-SC=, 8FE-TX-RJ45-B= and LC-4OC3/POS-SM=. I need upgrade the IOS version to the 12.0(21)ST6, but in the documentation say that these LCs are support in the release 12.0(8)S or higher.

Can i load the IOS 12.0(21)ST6 on this GSR with these LCs ?

Re: upgrade to GSR

You need to stick with S releases (like 12.0(21)S) to get all those cards supported. Pl. run hardware software compatibility matrix located at following url to get the informtation of all the cards supported in perticular release on a perticular platform.

Select product family and ios and click on submit, the tool will give you all the card supprted on that release.

Re: upgrade to GSR

yes, the sw advisory say that i must have a S release. But this same GSR with the same HW 1 year ago was running the 12.0(18)ST release and this is the output show version command from that time:

server120#sh version

Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software

Then, I don´t understand Why the advisory show that is necessary a S release for this device.
