Upgrading ethernet interface from 10Mbps to 100Mbps

We have Cisco 3640 Router in two locations and they are connected through a IPLC Link of 2Mpbs. Data, voice and Video traverse between these two locations. In both the sides we have 10Mbps ethernet interface Card. We wanted to upgrade the Card to 100Mbps fast ethernet interface. If we upgrade will the packet travel between both the locations improve? Is there any technical documentation which helps in getting the necessary information?

Thanks in Advance

I dont think your interoffice performance will improve after the change. Interoffice performance depends on the load characterstics of the IPLC. Check your ethernet traffic load at both ends and see if input/output traffic is peaking. In case you need to support intervlan routing in the LAN, then you can go for FE
