Use another port for telnet session

Hi,

Due to firewall blocked port 23 in my office, I cannot telnet my router in my home when I'm in office.

Can I telnet my home router in my office through another port but port 23 (say port 2xxx ), is 25xx series could do this ?

Re: Use another port for telnet session

Mostly all firewalls, deny all connections from the outside ( say internet) to inside, except for those rules explicitly set to permit certain traffic. That means, your firewall should be configured for allowing any connection (say for example telnet on port X). So even if you configure the router to be telnet on a different port, it wont work, unless the firewall allows it.
