Use NM-16ESW TO Implement NAT ON 3662 Router

Hello everyone

my customer want to buy a NM-16ESW 16 port ethernet module

to install on 3662 Router

I want to make sure that the NM-16ESW can implemet NAT Service (like NAT OUTSIDE AND NAT INSIDE COMMAND etc)

I know that the module can do L3 service via L3 VLAN

CAN the module do that ??

Hi,

This is Amitav, Network Consultant @ Bangalore, India.

If the Cisco 3662 router is using optimized IOS software images—Telco & Telco Plus 12.1, NAT will be possible. Please give the IOS version to be more specific.

NM-16-ESW is L2, it does not have L3. However, routing capabilities will lie in the 3662.
