router A-------router B------router C

I try to use a 10.1.1.255/32 as a router C's loopback .

the interface between B C is 10.1.3.0/30. the interface

between A B is 10.1.1.0/30.

on router A B C use "ip classless"and " ip subnet zero"

but I find on router B ping 10.1.1.255, it always reply from

router A's interface as a broadcast address ,

"Reply to request 0 from 10.1.1.2,1 ms"

what's wrong with it? can't I use the .255 address ?

Have you put static routes on B, telling it how to reach 10.1.1.255/32 or atleast a routing protocol running between routers A, B, and C. You can definitely use 10.1.1.255/32 as loopbacks ip address. Looks to me like a routing issue.

yes I put a static route on B,and the router B can see the route of 10.1.1.255 comes from C.But I only can ping the interface address of C, ping the 10.1.1.255 ,it reply from A!!!

Please paste your configs, as well as snapshots of ip routes on each router A, B, C.
