I have a Dell switch connected to a Cisco 3550. The servers on the Dell Switch don't show up in user tracking. I have ping sweep enabled. With ping sweep enabled shouldn't the servers at least show up as being on the 3550's port?
UT gets its info from Campus Manager. It uses the user and host acquisition service module in the ANI Server to discover end-user nodes. IP phones are discovered by querying the Media Convergence Servers. If the device is not known by CM, UT will not know it either. Also, by default, the Ping Sweep option is enabled.
