Hi all,

Just a quick question. Apart from using Hyper Terminal came with MS operating systems to connect to Cisco routers, any good terminal programs that can be used on RedHat Linux to connect to router console port? I tried some searches on Google but I can't find any good terminal programs on RedHat Linux.

Thanks in advanced

You might also try "tip" . This comes with most flavors of unix.

Hope this helps,

Don

Thanks to both donewald and prkrishn :)

donewald,

I tried to launch "tip" from RedHat, unfortunately there is no such command. Maybe you are right that the "tip" command is for Unix systems. I will see if I can get a Solaris box to work with Cisco routers.

prkrishn ,

I found "minicom" in my Redhat systems, I will try to configure it to get it works.

Once again, thanks to both of you :)
