Are there instances when you would not use STP? Why would you not want to run STP?

Hi

STP is used to prevent loops in layer 2 networks.

U can disable STP in u r network if ur not having any redundant links between u r switches.But it is not recommended to disable STP.

why dont u want to use STP ? is it because convergence time?if so there many config that u can reduce the convergence time...
