Using the "Inpkts" in a SPAN command

We have spun a port on a Cat-6506 and had to enable the "Inpkts" setting on the SPAN command. Now, we need to hook up a hub to the destination port, so we can run different sniffers off of it. I am concerned that that might create a loop in the network since the destination SPAN port does not run the STP.

Has anybody ever tried to hook up a hub to a destination port on a SPAN session that has the "Inpkts" setting enabled?

Thanks.

_ Alex

Re: Using the "Inpkts" in a SPAN command

So long as the hub does not connect to any other switch port anywhere in the network, you should be okay.
