questions is :how can i identity whether a model is a pa-8t-232 model or pa-8t-v35 ,odel by using ios commands?
I already know that i can identify it from the faceplate .But i can not identity it by using ios commands such as "show diag".

Hi, show diag should display amongst other things the part number or TAN of the modules installed in your system.
For a PA-8T-V35 this is 800-01836-xx
For a PA-8T-232 this is 800-01835-xx
Hope this helps.

but i can not find the number such as 800-01836-xx.For example, the following ouput of "show diag" command:
Slot 5:
Physical slot 5, ~physical slot 0xA, logical slot 5, CBus 0
Microcode Status 0x4
Master Enable, LED, WCS Loaded
Board is analyzed

How can i identify that pa bay 0 is a pa-8t-232 model or a pa-8t-v35 model?

Hi, PA bay 0 is the V35 from part number 73-1580-xx
PA bay 1 is the 232 from part number 73-1581-xx.
Regards, hope this has helped.

But how do i know? Just for 80 means v35 and 81 means 232? And why 1580 means v35 and 1581 means 232? If the platform is not cisco 7500,the rule still work?

Essentially yes. 1580 is V35 and 1581 is 232.
I don't know why these part numbers were chosen, but they can be found by searching the field notice section.
And yes, but more usually the 800-xxxxx-xx TAN number is displayed. Again, search the field notice section for reference.
Regards
